We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Technician to join our Engineering team within the Oil & Gas sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for electrical design activities for complex industrial plants, working on EPC, FEED, and Detail Engineering projects, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, clients, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical design for onshore Oil & Gas facilities (offshore experience will be considered a plus).
- Develop electrical drawings, including:
- Single-line diagrams
- Multi-line diagrams
- Wiring diagrams
- Perform sizing and selection of:
- LV/MV switchboards
- Power and control cables
- Motors, industrial lighting systems, and earthing systems
- Prepare technical documentation such as:
- Datasheets
- Technical specifications
- Material Requisitions (MR)
- Cable lists, load lists, motor lists
- Support activities related to:
- Hazardous Area Classification (ATEX / IECEx)
- Short-circuit calculations and protection coordination studies
- Interface with suppliers for technical clarifications and bid evaluations.
- Provide support during construction and commissioning phases when required.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, API, EN, ATEX).

Competenze richieste
Technical Requirements
- Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrotechnics.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas or industrial plant engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of:
- IEC, CEI, ATEX, IECEx standards
- LV and MV industrial electrical systems
- Hazardous areas (Zone 1, Zone 2)
- Proficiency in electrical design software:
- AutoCAD / EPLAN (mandatory)
- ETAP, Caneco, Dialux (preferred)
- Good command of technical English.
- Italian language skills considered a plus.
Soft Skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage assigned tasks.
- Strong time‑management and quality‑oriented mindset.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
Languages
- English: technical working proficiency (engineering documentation and project communication).
- Italian language skills considered a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international EPC projects.
- Background in brownfield, revamping, or upstream projects.
