Candidati
To support the expansion of our engineering team, we are seeking a Piping 3D Designer / Modeler to work on onshore Oil & Gas projects (offshore experience will be considered a plus). The role includes responsibility for the 3D design and modeling of complex piping systems across all project phases. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with process, structural, mechanical, and project engineering teams, contributing from preliminary design through detailed engineering (IFC).
Main Responsibilities
- Perform 3D modeling of piping systems and plant layout in accordance with Oil & Gas standards.
- Develop:
- P&IDs
- Piping layouts
- Isometric drawings
- Piping plans and construction drawings
- Conduct clash detection and optimize routing within the 3D model.
- Apply project specifications and international codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, EN).
- Extract and manage Material Take-Offs (MTO) and piping Bills of Materials.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with process, structural, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Update the 3D model according to design revisions and as-built documentation.

Competenze richieste
Technical Requirements
- Technical diploma (Mechanical Technician) or Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas, industrial plants, or the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of piping 3D design software, preferably:
- AVEVA E3D / PDMS
- SP3D
- Autodesk Plant 3D
- SmartPlant
- Ability to read and interpret:
- P&IDs
- Piping specifications
- Datasheets and design standards
- Knowledge of international piping codes and standards.
- Solid background in technical drawing and construction tolerances.
Soft Skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Autonomy in managing assigned tasks.
- Strong problem‑solving attitude.
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Languages
- English: technical working proficiency (documentation and project communication).
- Italian: considered a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in brownfield, revamping, or upstream projects.
- Familiarity with 3D Model Review and Design Review processes.
- Previous experience in EPC / EPCM environments.
- Willingness to travel to project sites or construction yards.
