Key Responsibilities

  • Develop process design for onshore Oil & Gas facilities (offshore experience skills considered a plus).
  • Prepare:
    • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Heat & Material Balances (H&MB)
  • Perform sizing and selection of main process equipment, including:
    • Separators, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors
  • Prepare and verify process datasheets and technical specifications.
  • Develop technical documentation such as:
    • Line lists
    • Equipment lists
    • Utility consumption summaries
    • Process descriptions and operating manuals
  • Support:
    • HAZID / HAZOP studies
    • Process safety and risk assessment activities
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (piping, electrical, instrumentation, safety).
  • Provide technical support during clarification meetings with clients and suppliers.
  • Support construction and commissioning activities when required.

Skills required

Technical Requirements

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a process design role within the Oil & Gas or industrial plant engineering sector.
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Process engineering principles
    • Oil, gas, water treatment and utilities systems
    • International codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO)
  • Ability to develop and interpret PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Experience with process simulation software (preferred):
    • Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus
  • Good command of technical English.
  • Italian language skills considered a plus.

 

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and reliability.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.

 

Languages

  • English: technical working proficiency (engineering documentation and project communication).
  • Italian language skills considered a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in international EPC projects.
  • Background in brownfield engineering and revamping projects and upstream.
  • Participation in HAZOP studies (as designer or scribe).
